Acne cure tips:
Honey:
Honey is our go-to acne-busting ingredient. Again, it’s an amazing anti-inflammatory so it’ll help reduce swelling and redness in the skin. It’s also a natural humectant, meaning it’ll draw in moisture to hydrate the skin. Just make sure you use raw honey, which means it hasn’t been processed and thereby retains all the natural goodness – processed honey is boiled, which means most of honey’s natural benefits are destroyed.
Tomatoes:
Finally, tomatoes provide a surge of vitamins, most importantly vitamin A, which can help counter p. acnes bacteria. Tomatoes are also rich in vitamin C, a potent antioxidant that fights skin-damaging free radicals while also helping to brighten the appearance of acne scars. Tomato is also a natural astringent, so it’ll reduce excess sebum (oil) on the surface of your skin, thereby lowering the chance of oil buildup that results in blackheads and whiteheads.
Ingredients:
½ medium ripe tomato
1 tbsp. of organic kefir
1 tsp of raw organic honey
How to Apply:
Cut the tomato in half and peel off the skin, then using a fork, mush up the tomato. Mix 1 tablespoon of kefir into the bowl and 1 teaspoon of honey until the mixture is well combined. Put on the mixture on your face and keep it on for about ten minutes. Wash your face with warm water and follow with your face moisturizer. We’d recommend doing this mask once a week to combat breakouts and restore your skin: the stronger your skin’s microbiome, the healthier it will be!
